BIO

Kat Chavez is currently pursuing her AB in Art History, Visual Art, and Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Brown University. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Kat lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island. She has worked at prestigious institutions such as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Box Gallery Los Angeles, the Women’s Center for Creative Work, and Self-Help Graphics and Art. Kat’s work has been exhibited at AS220’s Resident Gallery, the List Art Center, the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts and the David Winton Bell Gallery, all in Providence, RI. Her curatorial work was most recently staged at Trade Pop-Up, also in Providence, RI. She has an upcoming solo show entitled Botánica Extraña that will take place this April at the List Art Center.
