Kat Chavez is currently pursuing her AB in Art History and Visual Art at Brown University. She was raised in Los Angeles, California and currently lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island. She has worked at prestigious institutions such as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), the Women’s Center for Creative Work, and Self-Help Graphics and Art. Kat’s work has been exhibited at AS220’s Resident Gallery, the List Art Center, the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts and the David Winton Bell Gallery, all in Providence, RI. Her curatorial work was most recently staged at Trade Pop-Up, also in Providence, RI. She will be featured in the upcoming exhibition "Pressing Matters 2018" at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art in California.
