Kat Chavez (b. 1996) holds an A.B. in History of Art & Architecture and Visual Art from Brown University. She was raised in Los Angeles, CA and currently works between Los Angeles and New York City. Kat has also worked as the curator at the Gallery at the Sarah Doyle Center for Women and Gender in Providence, Rhode Island, and she co-curates the series Se Aculilló? with Benjamin Lundberg Torres Sánchez. Kat’s work has been exhibited at AS220’s Resident Gallery, Providence, RI; the List Art Center, Providence, RI; the David Winton Bell Gallery, Providence, RI; the Museum of Latin American Art, Long Beach, CA; the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, San Luis Obispo, CA; and New Women Space, Brooklyn, NY.
