Kat Chavez (b. 1996) is currently pursuing her AB in Art History and Visual Art at Brown University. She was raised in Los Angeles, California and currently lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition to her art practice, Kat works as the curator at the Gallery at the Sarah Doyle Center for Women and Gender in Providence. Kat’s work has been exhibited at AS220’s Resident Gallery, Providence, RI; the List Art Center, Providence, RI; the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts, Providence, RI; the David Winton Bell Gallery, Providence, RI; the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, San Luis Obispo, CA; and New Women Space, Brooklyn, NY.
